Letters of Recommendation
It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of recommendation for the Manna family
and their remarkable work in Christian theatre. I have had the distinct pleasure of witnessing
several of their productions. As someone who values both artistic excellence and spiritual
depth, I was deeply moved by the level of artistry and spiritual integrity they demonstrated.
Their work is a powerful and moving expression of faith through the performing arts.
From the opening scene, it was evident that this was no ordinary performance—it was a
heartfelt act of worship. The cast and crew poured themselves into every moment, presenting
a narrative that was both artistically compelling and theologically grounded. Their seamless
integration of Scripture, storytelling, and drama created an experience that was not only
entertaining but also spiritually transformative.
What stood out most was the prayerful preparation and genuine commitment to ministry that
permeated the entire production. This was not just a show; it was a powerful outreach tool
and a vivid expression of the gospel. The authenticity, passion, and excellence the Manna
family brought to every aspect—from performance to production—was truly inspiring.
I wholeheartedly recommend this theatre production to churches, schools, and communities
seeking a meaningful and creative way to engage with faith. It is a shining example of how
the arts can be used to communicate timeless truths and draw hearts closer to God.
Sincerely,
Daniel Chand
"The whole Crick family Gary, Jaime, Noah, Arialle, Oscar and Eli are involved full-time in Manna’s ministry of writing and producing biblical musical theatre and training many for performing arts in mission and evangelism. They beautifully model and are an example of a whole family working together in ministry. I whole-heartedly endorse and confirm who they are and what they do."
"I have worked alongside Gary, Jaime, and the family on several occasions, over several years now. From the outset, these guys love Jesus and are passionate about making him known through the creative arts. They are so gifted and talented in retelling the amazing truths of the gospel through music, dance and drama, and the cast that they work with is incredible. Over the years we have hosted various productions including indoor and outdoor performances as well as facilitated mission weeks with bible college students.
An example of how talented they are was when they brought a group of bible college students down to Devon on a mission week. During that week they all got stuck into various things from small group testimonies to street evangelism, and along the way, the students learnt and practised a script (written by Jamie) which they then performed at the end of the week. It was one of the most powerful performances I had seen with such a short time of rehearsal, it was the work of God through talented but also humble and willing people.
Recently we hosted their Passion Play in the middle of our town. The Crick Family organised everything from working with the council to hiring sound equipment, staging and setting up. In the end, they put on what was an incredible performance of the Passion of Christ. Every time we have worked together for the sake of the gospel we have seen God move powerfully and people respond through the work of the Holy Spirit. They are an extension of our family in Christ and believe God has a plan, purpose and mission for them as they continue to follow His calling. Everyone I have met who is part of the Manna Theatre group has shone Jesus in all that they do; they so love God and love people, and are so willing to do whatever He asks. I look forward to the next adventure God takes them on."
I attended a ‘Relentless’ Christmas presentation a few weeks ago at the Gateway Church in West Bromwich and just wanted to encourage you all on what an amazing work you are doing.
I was so impressed with the whole presentation and it was apparent that on top of the great scripting, attention to details (such as the accents the cast had and even the way they carried on with their conversations as they left the stage) and the beautiful songs and soundtracks, there was a clear anointing on the team/family that was woven throughout the presentation.
It felt so authentic, the lives of the various cast being shared and what they would have been going through and challenged with at the time was so refreshing yet a powerful insight of what it would have been like. The scripting really immersed you into the presentation.
The testimony and message then spoken at the end by Jaime was so moving and such a powerful way to end the whole presentation.
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the work you are doing and the message of the gospel you are spreading so effectively.
Keep up the great work and may the Lord continue to bless the works of your hands and may He guide and protect you in all you do in the future.
To whom it may concern:
I am Team Rector of the Leek and Meerbrook Benefice in Staffordshire and
Vicar of St Edward’s Church in Leek. We have hosted Manna Theatre
Company for their productions of Relentless Legacy and Relentless Love
during the past year and also saw and participated in the performance of their
Passion Play in Leek town centre in 2023.
All of these events were excellently produced and performed, powerfully
moving and impactful. The Crick family have a real heart for the gospel and
this shines through everything they do. I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly
recommending them to you.
Recently we have Manna Theatre perform 'Relentless Love' for us. here in Northern
Ireland.
My own church is just a small village church and we did wonder whether we might be too
'small' for them to perform in our equally modest church hall.
Needless to say, we had no need to worry.
What a blessing this family are!
They quickly rose to the challenge and offered two wonderful, performances retelling the
key parts of Christian story, Jesus' love for all and His amazing sacrificial love, revealed in
and through those our Lord encountered. These super people are living the faith we all
seek to proclaim. Gary and Jaime are very sincere in their faith and their children have
clearly inherited both their parents' faith and artistic talents.
Over two nights, and as a consequence, we drew new people into Christian encounter,
strengthened local ecumenical relationships and encouraged existing Christians in their
faith. It was also a blessing to spend just a little time in prayer with them all as well.
These guys are really talented, and reflect in their performances a remarkable ministry
which deserves both wider recognition and encouragement.
The word I heard most about them after the event was 'inspirational'.
I can only commend them to other churches across the breadth of the Christian family.
Book them. You won't regret it and you will be helping in the good and necessary work of
building God's Kingdom wherever you are; as they seek to share the timeless message of
God's love for all in Christ Jesus in new and creative ways.
With every good wish and blessing,
Rev Chris.
